It was a beautiful, sunny and warm October day as our committed trio of Goodgymmers joined the other volunteers at Stephens House and Gardens for their monthly gardening tasks. While some of the other volunteers were put to work weeding the rockery, Paul, Rupesh and myself were tasked with clearing fallen leaves.

Rakes in hand we set to work. Kudos to Paul who was already warmed up after his 12km pre-mission run, it didn't take long for us all to build up a sweat.

2 hours later we had filled 5 large bags of leaves and had a thorough upper body work out in the process.

Our hard work was rewarded with several yummy homemade flapjacks each, courtesy of Stephens house volunteer Hilary.

After a group photo we all headed off our separate ways. For myself the next stop was Edgeware Blood Donor Center for what was going to be my 30th donation. With other regular blood donor Rupesh also booked in for this week the Goodgym good deeds are truely flowing!
