8 Goodgym Islington regulars logged onto our weekly Saturday Morning Coffee Meet-up this morning. Over half of them had already been out running, and Caroline was up early for an online virtual boxing session with her boxing club!

Our runners had all been attempting the weekly GG Islington fitness challenge in their local parks- "Criss Cross Intervals". Sign up here to give them a go before Monday lunchtime.

Graham mentioned that he is planning on running his own inaugural "Tottenham Half Marathon" tomorrow- starting from his house, and finishing... at his house. His plan is to complete this challenge as part of the "Hackney Moves for Heroes" campaign, promoting Homerton Hope Hospital (sign up here for more information). James showed us his Virtual Vancouver half marathon medal, earned after the run he completed with Claire a few weeks ago. Congratulations!

Our main topic of conversation revolved around the upcoming Goodgym Virtual Games, and what we are planning to compete in for the event. To see all of the available events, and to read detailed rules and instructions for each of them, follow this link for more information. We also agreed to try and record a short 3-5 second clip of each of us engaging in some sort of typical lockdown activity (whether this is helping out with a local task, enjoying a run, baking exceptional bread like James or producing homemade elderflower cordial with Steve C!). Generally we are all really excited to see what everyone brings to the games (we have already seen video proof of Aidan warming up for the indoor living room long jump).

Lots of cycling planned for the rest of the day- Graham is planning on pedaling to Hatfield Park, Kike is traveling to Wimbledon Common to meet up with family, Trainer Simon will be cycling to his printing studio in Dalston and Aidan is looking for tips for buying a new bike. Plenty of knowledgeable cycling folks in Goodgym to offer advice!

It is always a pleasure to catch up with Goodgym friends every Saturday, and next week will be no exception. See you at 10 am, Saturday morning.

Take care, Stay safe, Have fun!
