Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Last night's brilliant run report courtesy of the lovely Rosie...
"November rain is the worst kind of rain, which is why Guns n’ Roses didn’t call their amazing 1992 break-up ballad December Rain, or even January Rain. But last night’s Lambeth GoodGym wasn’t all sad like Axl, oh no. It started off pretty comfortably – the rain had stopped, we numbered 21 in total thanks to some very smiley new people and had a nice, dry 2 mile run up to Spring Gardens in Vauxhall, serenaded by some pre-Bonfire Night bangers every now and then.
The soundtrack to our night was really comes courtesy of George Michael, because we went to help the lovely Faith (anyone else had that song as an earworm ever since?) and weighed, sorted and stacked 507 kilos of food. Most enthusiastic sorter award goes to Tom who was overheard declaring it “SICK” that the bag of cans he was eyeing had already been weighed. All in all our can-sorting fun kept us nice and warm for the journey back under a classic London downpour. I noticed literally everyone gazing longingly into the Crown & Anchor halfway back, but we kept going (pretty fast) and arrived home rather numb of face but proud of heart just after 8pm – leaving more time for the pub, nice!"
