Can we pick it? Yes we can!
6 GoodGymers made their way to help the Canal and River Trust in Coventry.
- Tuesday, 7th of July 2020
- Led by Liz Pharoah
Six GoodGym runners ran just under 5km along the Coventry Canal for a socially distanced litterpick.
We started the task by running up to bridge four and then made our way back to the Canal Basin, stopping to litter pick around the bridges and other litter hot spots.
Our unusual item of the week was a discarded shopping list (see photo!) and our bags were filled with cans, bottles and cigarette ends. No sign of the swan family this week, but the family of geese cheered (hissed) us as we ran past. We also had a brief chat with the magnet fishers, who had found a few lumps of metal and a pound coin.
Congratulations to Graeme on completing his 10th task and to Deb, who modelled the superhero cape after completing 50 good deeds last week.
