Quick sand

Coventry Report written by Laura Denham

What better way to spend a sunny evening than a jog over to Spon Gate primary school for a quick bit of sanding and staining?

The school were given to a grant to help spruce up the outdoor space and while the new additions were looking fresh the benches and chair were well overdue some TLC.

With ten of us on the job, we powered through most of the sanding, got a coat of stain on, and even gave the plants a good soak—much needed in this heat!

Great to see you again Dale and massive shoutout to Marcelle who showed up on her birthday—that’s dedication. Absolute Queen status, and yes, we got a snap of her on her ‘throne’.

Top effort from everyone—brilliant work all round!

Crate Crazy !

Coventry Report written by James

This month's visit to Carriers of hope , all of our GoodGym volunteer crew, joined forces with the lively CLM for a cracking day of sorting action. The warehouse hummed with energy as we shifted stacks of clothes, household goods, and essentials, organized donations like Tetris masters, and tallied inventory with ninja-like precision. With GoodGym and CLM bringing laughs and muscle, Great efforts we're buzzing to keep the hope flowing with our monthly missions!

Weed-id it!

Coventry Report written by Laura P (she/her)

9 Coventry Goodgymers walked, ran and cycled to the Earlsdon Primary School allotment for a lovely evening in the sunshine. Our tasks for the evening were to dig, weed and rake in and around the raised beds so that they are ready for planting and continue working in the community allotment to get it ready for use!

Fantastic work everyone, we will back back again during the summer to support with maintaining the allotment so it can be used by the primary school children. Welcome to Mobi for your first session, see you again soon!

I’m stumped

Coventry Report written by Laura Denham

Eight amazing GoodGymers and Cameron, sprang into action to tame the overgrown secret garden at Stretton School.

Rumour had it there was a pond hidden somewhere beneath the brambles, and it became our mission to uncover it. And uncover it we did—though it was a bit more swamplike than we had hoped! Along the way, we discovered raised beds, a hose tap, and even a polytunnel still waiting to be revealed (a task for another day, as time wasn’t on our side).

We were thrilled to welcome Paul for his first session—he threw himself into the task like an absolute pro.

A beautiful evening spent in great company and good conversation.

Fantastic work, you superstars!
