Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
After a few slightly embarrassing warmup exercises outside Kings Cross Station GoodGym Camden Runners made the short jog/sprint down to the Camley Street Natural Park to lend a hand. Stationed on the banks of the Regent’s Canal (near KingsCross) this nature reserve is a pretty amazing place to visit.

We were set two tasks, wheelbarrowing some compost round to a bug hunting area, and helping shift some large blocks of wood away from the canalside. We were on fire smashing both in record time, Mairi and Jack’s wheel barrow slalom being particularly impressive. That gave us some time to explore the park- frolicking through the meadow, dashing round the pound and wading round the marsh woodland (I may have made that last bit up).

We finished off the evening with a ‘Bridge challenge’ on the canal- racing between bridges all the way to London Zoo. We had a wobble at Camden lock as we were distracted by the smell of half eaten churros and the ‘clinking’ of booze glasses on a sunny terrace roof bar....but we managed to make it back to Somers Town before the doors were locked. Whoop.
