Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
After harping on about how it never rains in Newham, the sky gods overheard my naive chat, and unleashed some liquid from the heavens above. In summary - it rained a bit.
The water coming out of the the sky didn't scare away everyone, we had a very solid four GoodGymers. Those who didn't make it (we don't judge you), I offer you a quote that someone said to me somewhere once (my memory is impeccable, yes) - "there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing". Ever since I heard that, I've been frequently and cheerfully irritating people that very quote. In all seriousness, a good waterproof jacket is a massive game changer.
So we jovially zipped down to Durning Hall Community Centre, discussing sunnier countries as we envisaged a life saturated with vitamin D. We soon snapped out of this self indulgent luxury and got to cleaning. Chairs by the blimming ton, we formed an efficient train of labour and cracked on in ruthless style. I'm no Scientist, but I reckon we killed 2.8 billion germs at least (note - I'm no Mathematician either).
Post our good deeds, we turned attention to ourselves...and invested in our fitness bank. With some 20 second efforts in varying paces, ensuring we got back warm, and with a few endorphines here and there too.
See you ALL next week.
