Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
With just a handful of souls last night GGNewham reached an epic milestone.
We completed our paint job in the sports pavilion corridor.
To break it down I would say the corridor accounts for less than half the wall space in the building, so there's plenty more to go. But as far as aesthetics we've finished the most adorned part of the space. Joining us this week was newbie Iannish who got stuck in after a gradient filled run out of the park towards Wanstead Flats.
Are we there yet?
No, not yet Kathryn..
Where's the bridge?
Look up
oh yeah
This was our conversation as we approached our destination which is landmarked by a big iron bridge a couple of minutes away. Our route to the pavilion is made up of just under 2k of turns through the olympic park and then a deceptive straight 2k stretch of houses. By the end you sometimes feel like you've gone that little bit further than you actually have.
Once inside the painting commenced, the remaining walls of the corridor were transformed from beige to white. Edges and missed spots where given the once over and the ladies even managed to make a start in the office. What more can I say.
En route back there was talk of drills, yes drills. Hated by some, loved by many more (I hope). After the first drill Kathryn thought we were channelling our inner Riverdance. So she did what any other amused GoodGymer would do and blasted out the string and flute filled Riverdance soundtrack on her phone so we could get the technical elements of our knee lifts and dorsi flexion just right. Not sure it helped but I'm a fan of music in general so bring it on.
Great effort guys, Same time next week
