Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Linda
Answered this ‘urgent’ mission for the same day. But when I arrived at Boots they checked and double-checked and said Mr C’s prescription had already been picked up by his carer earlier in the day!
Getting no answer on the phone number, I decided to swing by his door and just triple check, since it was closeby. The mission notes said Mr C was a ‘joker’ - which was true indeed. Before I even finished my sentence he’s already dropped quips like “Boots? I’ve already got them on my feet!” and “The prescription must be heavy if they’ve sent help to pick it up!” He went in to check and confirmed that yes, they had been picked up by his carer and that he’d just plum forgotten.
Just then his carer returned carrying some groceries and I had to explain the situation, and he quadruple confirmed that yes, all’s been picked up.
Think some crossed wires in this comedy of errors here and guess the joke’s on me! Most importantly Mr C has what he needs, in addition to lots of laughter (which is the best medicine). Had a lovely and hot run in the sun regardless, and saw this highly-decorated tree on my way home.

Well done, Linda! Sounds like you handled the crossed wires very well!
