Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Poor Brahma is suffering around the achilles area after upping his mileage from 40mpw to about 190mpw. We hope you find the root cause of the problem!
So, that's why I rocked up to my second GG home this evening to greet regulars Rodrigo, Jen, Violeta and Alice, and newbs Karen and Sharon. A very warm welcome from GG!
Not only was Brahma in traction eating grapes, due to the dreaded traffic our task was cancelled last minute. Luckily we had a nice stack of GoodGym flyers sitting in the back of the car minding their own business. Great. Our only challenge was to find some houses to deliver them to! You see, people tend to prefer flats (or is it apartments) in this area.
BUT, we managed it and covered a pretty wide area. Just think, chances are that we each managed to inspire one flyer-receiver to come along and become a long-term member of GoodGym, who will complete about 500 good deeds over their lifetime. Seven of us, so 7 x 500 = 3500 good deeds.
Yep, we did the equivalent of 3,500 good deeds. Munch on that, other GoodGym areas.
Feeling good for having done good - and a little nippy - we headed back to the park to warm up with cone games!
Find the Penny
A shiny penny was hidden underneath one of about 40 cones. Who would find it first? Can't remember, but Rodrigo won two of these games and was crowned champion.
Cups and Cone
Half the cones are cups, half the cones are cones, the cones had to turn the cups into cones and the cups had to turn the cones into cups. Cones, cups, cups, cups, cones, cones. cups.
Anyway, cones won and chose a forfeit exercise for the useless cups. Star jumps! A nice forfeit.
Tidy-up Time
Person who collects the most cones wins the prize. 3, 2, 1, GO. Jen and Karen both collected seven. A tie! Only one thing for it....
TIEBREAKER CONE RELAY
Two teams and two strips of nine cones. Each team member has to collect a cone in turn and the first team to collect all their cones wins.
It was soooooo close. Karen's team were half a length ahead with one leg to go. Star sprinter Rodrigo (of Jen's team) tore up the bridge and it was a photo finish, but Karen's team won the penny and celebrated in style while Jen's team held their heads in shame and should probably not bother coming to GoodGym anymore.
What a lovely evening. Brahma should be back next week with springs on his knees or something.
Au revoir,
Simon
