Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Michal Czekajlo
Briony, John, Mitch, Debbs and Egg went on their bicycles to pick craft packs from the York Carers Centre project coordinator and deliver to unpaid carers, making it possible for them to take part in activities from their home.
Briony went out first thing in the morning and covered a distance of 12 miles delivering packs to three different addresses. She went as far as Upper Poppleton.
Despite the cold, it's great to get moving in that fresh morning air for a great cause!- Briony
John completed his delivery round soon after and went as far as Copmanthorpe.
Mitchell went out later in the afternoon and finished his delivery after dark. He visited Fulford and Osbaldwick.
Debs and Egg planned to cycle together, however Debbs was held back at work a little bit. Egg picked up 6 craft packs from the collection point and started delivering. Debbs cought up with her in New Earswick to help finish the delivery and then do a bonus mission for a person who was about to be discharged from the hospital. On the way back from Strensall they had fun testing the local outdoor gym equipment.
Brilliant effort everyone!
