Our first mid week afternoon session at the Highbury Quadrant Estate gardens went really smoothly, with 3 local Goodgym folks in attendance. We met with Esther and Frannie from Octopus Communities Network, and made our way to the potential orchard gardens with a wheelbarrow full of spades, loppers, forks and hoes.

Last weekend, various groups (including our Goodgym crew) tackled loads of brambles splayed across the green space. Our task today was to start pulling up some stubborn roots from the soft muddy soil, and to add them to the ever increasing green waste and compost pile. We also shifted loads of paving slabs and odd rocks and stones, left behind from previous building projects.

Fantastic work all round- laying the groundwork for our return on Saturday and later next week!
