Find out about GoodGym TaskForce

Share the love

The evening tube strikes made for anxious wait in the Aquatics Centre. But not to fear the group arrived and assembled just like any other Wednesday.

Urban Beach

The fantastic four who all battled it out in the overgrown depths of the churchyard over the weekend were back again for a 7k run this time. We made our way up the stairs and discovered the giant slide that appeared last week is now part of Stratford's very own Beach East opens this weekend, find out more here

This week's run was much cooler than last week, so although we ran further it was altogether more comfortable. Out of the park, through the dodgem areas and along the eerily strike quiet streets from Stratford to Plaistow.

Berry inspector

On arrival Ros, who has been missing from GGNewham for a hot minute started the inspection; as we all wandered through the garden she came back with a palm full of strawberries to give the group a boost before we got down to work. Or tasks were to strategically move a gym across the garden along with lining and filling two planters.

The third and final (self initiated) task for Ros was to collect even more fruity goodness. Like a boss she scuttled up the tree and picked away, however, not satisfied with the haul she moved onto the next tree by means of a trampoline to gather even more...haha great work.

Our return 3.5km was deliberately disturbed by a series of thigh burning star jump squats (not for the faint hearted), which was then followed by a cool down back in the park.

Handy work as always guys, same time next week.

Kirsty
