(de)Chairing an AGM is a piece of cake!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Wandsworth.
- Thursday, 11th of May 2017
After arriving at the great youth centre in battersea, with a few minutes to spare to take a look around (as James said in his run report - it's a great facility), we helped Aspire to Inspire, a dyslexia charity, to pack down after their AGM.
We were greeted by the very bubbly and fabulous Liz who immediately offered us tea, cupcakes and food from their buffet spread they had laid out for their members. After refusing a few times, we both eventually gave in and couldn't resist a cupcake! Once the members had all started to file out we got started with our mission of fitting about 50-60 chairs in a little cupboard and moving all the artwork the charity had up to sell back downstairs ready for transportation.
With both of us working on the project it only took us about 30 minutes to get everything done, and we hope we left the room exactly as it was supposed to be!
