Deliveruing the day I forgot an umbrella for the medicine drop
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Islington.
- Saturday, 7th of August 2021
Super soakers were in plentiful supply as Patrick collected and delivered medicines for Mr R in Islington who is unable to get out himself
I've met Mr R before and he was a referral from my and GoodGym's friends at North London Cares. The weather was bad to torrential. But I knew the medicines were important so didn't want to let Mr R down. I let myself down a little by foregoing parkrun in the rain and having a lie in.
The pharmacy was a short run through the pouring rain and I simply needed a quick call to Mr R to confirm the necessary details for the pharmacists to release the meds.
Short run to Mr R then a slightly longer and wet wait in the rain and job's a good un. Thankfully I had a waterproof jacket but an umbrella would have been better as the rain got wetter! 🌧️☔
Mr R was very grateful and was sadly unable to attend North London Cares birthday party later the same day. We wished each other well and I went off to my next wet delivery
