A full house of pairs today on Ms C's neatly written list - two of everything please - lasagne, tinned spaghetti, fish fingers, tissues...and then mysteriously (at least to me), "tin rice". I did check with Ms C before leaving her front door what she meant - to which she replied "tinned rice, like the spaghetti, but rice". I felt reassured by her absolute confidence that I'd find what she meant when I got to the shop.

The only tinned rice I could find on the shelves was rice pudding - I tried to call Ms C to check if this is what she meant, but couldn't reach her, so took an executive decision to buy two tins of Sainsbury's own brand version (on the basis it was cheaper).

When I got back to Ms C's front door and explained my predicament she just said one word "Ambrosia"...and apologised that she hadn't mentioned this at the start - fortunately she didn't mind the own brand version and I assured her that I'd know for next time!
