Find out about GoodGym TaskForce

It was unseasonably warm when we started our two pronged drive to do good last night, and whilst there were just 18 of us, it was a great team that turned up. We gave a very warm welcome to Fiona and Jack who were joining us on their first GoodGym run too. Thanks for coming, you two!!!

Dave dished out two brand new 'run leader' vests that look a dull grey when not in direct light but glow like the sun when lit up by passing cars or flashes from cameras.

Group one ran to Easton to distribute leaflets - this was a last minute call for help from a recycling charity which needed a lot of help distributing leaflets about a forthcoming event. We were given loads of leaflets and split in to 2 smaller groups to rush around the streets of Easton posting these through boxes... Easton is a bit of a maze and more than a few times we said 'have we been here before' or 'OH! That's where this road leads to!' Needless to say we got loads done.

Group two tackled the long climb up to Bishop Road School in Bishopston where they donned their slightly worn now GoodGym gloves, got out their head torches, and planted loads and loads of bulbs. It had been very wet the day before so the ground was sodden - they had the joy of lugging a lot of mud back to Vivo with them; extra training lifting that weight.

By the time the teams had gotten back the night began to chill and a spooky mist enveloped the river. We all had a good stretch and what started as a few announcements became a whole stack of them.

THANK YOU to everyone who came along - apologies for the lack of photos but Chris and I were busy!
