Report written by Sam Lefevre (he/him)
Kaz and Sam attended the deep cleaning and tidying up session at Borough Food Cooperative as soon as it started at 10:30 with a bunch of other volunteers from a corporate company. Due to his height, Kaz was asked to take down the blue tack surroundings all four walls whilst Sam tackled a deep cleaning task of scrubbing down one of the fridges they use regularly. After an hour and a bit, both of them were done with their tasks and decided to leave as they had enough help and they both needed to be somewhere else.
Liz attended the session after Kaz and Sam left. The painting will commence on Tuesday.
The food cooperative provides members with low cost food to help reduce food bills and tackle food insecurity. It also reuses surplus food to prevent food being thrown away.
