Today, I was one of the many volunteers that made sorting and packing food for the Borough food cooperative an enjoyable speedy task.

On a beautiful sunny Monday afternoon, three enthusiastic goodgymers set off for an invigorating walk, ready to make a difference. Our first stop was the local community church, where we eagerly pitched in to move an array of wooden pieces onto the balcony. The warm sun kissed our faces as we worked, all while we awaited for the food delivery.

When the delivery finally arrived, we sprang into action, efficiently organizing and carefully stocking each item in its designated place. Our teamwork made the process smooth and enjoyable. We also took the time to sort through a collection of recycling boxes, energetically transporting them to the designated bin area.

With smiles on our faces, we accomplished everything quickly and with a sense of fulfilment, making a positive impact in our community on the lovely afternoon.

AJ and Brenda, assisted the Borough food cooperative in re-stocking their shelves in preparation for their Tuesday customers. It was a very sarisfy way to spend a morning.

I had a great time in sorting out the donated food alongside another GoodGym volunteer.

We've offloaded a big grocery delivery this afternoon, and got everything sorted for tomorrow! Hope people enjoy all the goodies there - lemon drizzle cake looked super nice!

Gosia helped with sorting the donations for Borough Food Cooperative. Had some second thoughts 💭 as the weather was just awful in the morning, with a heavy rain 🌧 and strong wind 🌬. I ended up arriving at 10:30 soaked with hair all over the place 🧹🧙‍♀️.

Almost right away the delivery truck 🚚 arrived so I made a break and helped with unloading it. Once all have been moved to the main hall, the tasks I tackled this time were as follows:

• - assembling and labelling assorted packages of bread 🍞 - delivery was very large and I spent almost an hour on this task;
• - assembling and labelling assorted packages of rolls and pastries 🥐 - just few packages here;
• - checking and sorting fruit supplies 🍌🍍 - a quick review of crates with pineapples and bananas and preparing them to go on the shelves;
• - sorting a mix of food on the racks 🍟🥣 - all to keep the products nice and tidy ready for the shoppers tomorrow.

There were just two volunteers today but we maange to tackle the entire delivery. Although I was in doubt in the morning I ended up being very pleased that I decided to be here today!
