Waited an hour before the delivery came and then used the second hour to unload and pack the veggies and fruits into crates and onto the shelves.

Met up with an old school friend for lunch who works in the area so it was an obvious logical next step to help out here to stay away from my desk for a bit longer. They were unloading new stock from a Felix Project van when I arrived so helped with some lifting. I then had to quality inspect some carrots and cabbages for a bit and present them neatly to go on the shelves. Final task was to unbox longer life projects which I am demonstrating in the photos (totally not staged!). Had a really nice chat with two regular volunteers and really appreciated the tea. Planning to go back when I next have time in the new year.

I joined Clive and some of the wonderful volunteers at BFC cleaning, chopping and rotating existing stock before the afternoon delivery.
This was slightly less efficient as usual given that my baby boy woke up the moment we arrived and decided he wanted to be part of the action, and as such was strapped to my chest throughout. The extra pair of tiny hands were gratefully recieved, making him the youngest volunteer they've had to date at just 9 weeks old!

Wednesday afternoon at the BFC was a hub of activity. GoodGymers and other volunteers were busy getting it all ready for the next day's shop. There was bread, cheese and a lot of carrots!

Clive, our wonderful leader and host, guided GoodGymers Mikhail and Fleur as they descended upon the BFC like a whirlwind of good deeds, transforming an ordinary afternoon into a flurry of productive fun! Our dynamic duo tackled a mountain of bread and pastries, ensuring not a single crumb was out of place. Their scissor skills were put to the test as they masterfully cut egg boxes, while the humble potato found its perfect home in trays thanks to their diligent efforts. Finally, they meticulously measured out oats into serving boxes, proving that even the most mundane tasks can be tackled with enthusiasm. A truly fantastic GoodGym mission, leaving the BFC well-stocked and a little bit brighter!

Four volunteers, one from Goodgym, ME! Made good use of the time we had to get all the food donations unpacked and stacked for the food pantry tomorrow. Excellent teamwork.
