Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Yianny (he / him)
Last night we were back on the streets of Lambeth for Litter Pick Bingo and had a small but motivated group ready to help keep Lambeth Tidy.
Our plan was to meet at Papa's (who left us a personalised letter - see pic), head out for a little 2km ring and then grab our bin bags and gloves to collect as many items as possible. This evening's category was each person's favourite or recommended roastery or tea / hot drink / cafe venue with answers spanning large chain places with personal connections, small local cafes and a particular favourite Redemption Roasters.
If you don't know RR check them out it's a great concept of helping to reintegrate those who have been through the justice system: https://www.redemptionroasters.com/
Run complete, Marie-Noelle and Paul joined us and we were off in groups of two to see what we could gather.
Plenty of interesting items were collected (gas canisters, Christmas decorations, loads of recycling, UNused condoms.... and a shopping basket!) and we even got some cheers from the local community as we carried out our tasks.
This week's winner was Lambeth itself with lovely clean streets for all to enjoy!
Thanks everyone and see you next time ;0)
