Easy, Breezy...
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.
- Friday, 25th of September 2020
My pedal from Camden (mission one) to Camberwell (this mission) proved to be a bit of an unexpected adventure this morning thanks to today's strong winds - unseen gusts from all directions (sideways ones proving the most exhilarating, especially when trying to stay within a cycle lane...) and avoidance of various debris bouncing across the road - meant I was glad to finally make it to Ms Y's flat in one piece and with all limbs (and wheels) still intact.
I met F from the OT team at Guy's and St Thomas' at the flat and we quickly got to work clearing the bedding from the mattress and splitting the divan base in two. Fortunately there was lots of space in Ms Y's spare bedroom, so the move of the mattress and bed to clear space for her medical bed proved to be painless. I left F sweeping and tidying ready for Ms Y's impending release from hospital and set off back across the river, hoping at some point a friendlier tailwind would make an appearance to blow me home.
