I had been asked to clear and make safe a forest school area, at Woodside Primary School.

Since the first lockdown, the pupils have been unable to access the space, or move any of the equipment and resources that had been left after the final session.

Being on the edge of an estate, overlooked only by a residential home, and bordered by an expressway and bus way, the school field and wooded areas are prone to vandalism.

Unfortunately, as there has been no activities taking place, equipment has been burned or damaged to be left in a dangerous condition.

I spent about two hours clearing debris from the wooded areas, collecting them together on the playground, and then sorting into waste and recycling bins, as much as possible. The dogs tried to help, but really just enjoyed running about and playing 🤣

The site is cleaner and safer, but there is still some way to go to put it back to it's natural state.

Ideally, I could have done with having the GG Liverpool crew along to help, but with a few more sessions, it will be done.
