Today we returned to our usual spot at the slopes to find our efforts there have done wonders for the biodiversity in the area.

Many different and vibrant species of plant life have had the opportunity to grow where there was once a mass of brambles.

There were a few patches of brambles still coming through still so Dave and I whipped out the scythes to makes some 'coves'. These are like entrance areas for butterflies to come in and explore the wild flowers.

We also had scythe master general Russ return to the slopes, who did an incredible job opening up the pathway to the larger fields. While this was going on Sarah did the hard job of going up and down the steps and digging out all the litter, and we had the beautiful Charlie the Labrador cross on guard duty too.

Lovely weather, lovely people and a lovely job done by all. Hope to see everyone again next month!
