Another great start to the weekend with a double deed, starting up at the Northern Slopes.
Janka and myself tackled the scything whilst Frances did a stellar job with litter picking.
Thanks for attending everyone!

As if we hadn't had enough mowing up at the northern slopes just before, we arrived to find that the Berry Maze needed a mow too. Emma was right on it, as expected!
There was a few slightly different jobs this time, as Janka was given a big smashy tool and set free on the rubble around the mosaic, ready for a fresh skirt soon. Some posts had been knocked down by the wind, or teenagers, or windy teenagers. Either way, it didn't take us long to put some fresh posts in.
Frances, Alex, and his partner also tackled some of the weeds, and we all helped ourselves to the first few berries of the season.
Thanks for coming along! Can't wait to see how many berries have grown next visit!

Fresh sunny start to the weekend on our July visit to the slopes! We saw the return of Alex, who has helped out here many times in the past, and he brought additional help in the form of his partner, who's name I have shamefully forgotten(sorry!)
Usual tasks, but a change up on roles. I've done my knee in, so Janka stepped in and showed us real girl power with the scythe! She did a fantastic job keeping back the vegetation, while others managed to clears loads of litter from the area. I lopped the pathway through of overreaching brambles. Everything looks much nicer now.
Top work everyone! See you next time!

Let the chips fall where they may I hear them say. At the end of the day we made our way
To Totterdown to dig a hole That was the goal
No hole to dig It was already quite big
Chipping was laid Water was sprayed
Trees in the ground That’s where they’re found
Soil was shifted Our spirits lifted
Brambles trimmed on the bank, what rhymes with bank? I've drawn a blank...
The task was done That was fun 🙂
