The change of seasons has certainly happened and it takes a bit more personal motivation to get out the door in the dark evening.
The air is still relatively warm, but it's dark and Christmas lights not yet glowing in the windows.
We met at Rossmore Leisure Centre, the first meet up since the fabulous Elizabeth and Patricia had gone down under on holiday's and met for a parkrun. Not just any parkrun but Trish's 200th parkrun!
Tonight we completed a loop around the dark roads towards the school for the task. As a group many of us met at Goodgym and now are good friends so a great excuse for a chat and catch up.
The area certainly can boast about its rolling hills with just a few up and downs to contend with on route!
We reached Langside School and headed for the cupboard for brooms, boxes and tools. Patricia as ever had to be prised from the leaf blower as she eyed it up from afar!
We headed for the main pathways to clear, the trees constantly drop leaves on the ground here so it's a continuous effort to keep on top of it. Who knew it was so hard however to sweep on a ramp that's bumpy?!
Jane is currently embracing her wild side sInce a recent house move, whilst Robert was politiste Goodgymer with a thank you for every of pile of leaves he received.
After a good chunk of sweeping and throwing into the waste land at the back, it was time for the shorter run back. Still including a hill or two!
Lovely to see everyone with just a few more tasks before Christmas planned!
