2 GoodGymers made their way to help the parkrun - Woking junior parkrun in Woking.

Those were some of the exclamations I called out to the 95 Woking junior parkrunners this morning when the 263rd event took place in the park.

  • 7:48 was the time it took the first girl to reach the finish line,
  • the first boy was close by as he ran the 2 kms in 7:51,
  • 26 children gained a PB,
  • 7 took part for the first time in our venue.

It was also the first time for Carolyn to be the Run Director; she did splendidly well and was supported by the other 27 volunteers.

All in all, a fantastic event with terrific runners and wonderful volunteers!

Next Wednesday we will meet at WWF to run/walk/cycle along the canal to Goldsworth Park. There, we will distribute leaflets to publicise the Dragon Boats Race organised by Sam Beare and Woking Hospice in the summer. See you then!
