Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Tim Dickson
It was Monday night Goodgym, and it was time to spread the Bexley Goodgym word around the borough. After our sign in, greet and chat it was time to get to business. Starting off with our dynamic warm up (much needed) we split ourselves into two teams. Tonights competition was to see which team could get rid of their Goodgym cards first. It was then a fast as you can run to our leg workout flyover. This is a covered bridge over a railway track where we do our sit off's. Loved by some, hated by others. Remember, if its not burning you ain't earning and i can tell you after our sit off workout those calves and quads were definitely burning. In fact as we started running back to Crooklog one of the comments was "i can't run, my legs are like jelly'. These comments really do give me job satisfaction :-)........ On arrival at Crooklog we still had some time to spare so it would of been really rude not to use it. It was back into two groups for some sprints and cardio burnouts. Wow!! there's no better way to finish our Monday nights with everyone trying to get their breath back, wiping sweat of their heads, and trying to have a conversation. Just brilliant!! Quick shout out before signing off for another week. Good Luck Lucy for your half marathon Sunday. You're gonna smash it. Well done Nina and Paul for completing your first Monday night Goodgym. You were fab. And last but defo not least a massive high five Susan, Sarah, Cheryl and Neil for being awesome! See you all next week...........
