Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
The final of 4 tremendous sessions in Camden saw 11 poised GoodGymers smoothly run their way to Running Fitness success!
Great to have so many GoodGym new faces along to hone their running skills and strengthen some key running muscles in the buzz that is Granary Square.
After we again walked passed the longest que for food in London (still can't believe people wait that long for food), we got to work on a slightly modified course. Beginning with the always vital dynamic warm up we mobilised our joints paying particular attention to our Hips and activated all the lower body muscles we could find!
Tonight we really had the focus on the forward lean in our running form, so we concentrated on leaning from the heels, engaging our core muscles and oh so importantly landing underneath our body towards the front part of the foot if possible.
We Marched, we skipping, we Cariocaed, and we powerfully Accelerated with the occasional active recovery jog down to the huge steps for 40 minutes of controlled running based exercise.
To finish off we hit up some body weight physical preparation to really target some key running muscles, with 2 minutes in 1 minute off we worked our core, upper body, lower body and a little CV for good measure!
Rounding off the evening with a series of static stretches and a round of applause!
Hope you all enjoyed the session and hope to see you all again either at a Fitness 4 All session or at a Local Group run.
Check out what is coming up here.
Fitness 4 All will be moving to Kennington station for the next 6 weeks be great to have you along to a session!
