Mr G gave Sevan a pretty standard set of labels for today's shopping mission and shared some funny and impressive stories from his younger life as usual. Mr G hasn't learned his lesson, giving Sevan a bit of a longer leash by asking for something green, but not cavolo nero as he thought he'd eaten too much of it recently.
Sevan set off to Sainsbury's where he picked up some savoy cabbage - a Mr G staple - and a cauliflower as a bit of a curveball to challenge Mr G's comfort zone. The only other excitement was that the pie fridge was protected by a shield that Sevan had to destroy (or move) to get to the Chicken and Gravy pies. Not wanting to leave a mess, the shield was restored. Apparently it was there to regulate the temperature and only allow people with good dexterity to consume pies.
With the groceries delivered, Mr G said that he yearned for more variety in his diet and that he may give broccoli another go. After that, Mr G had a grumble about genetically modified food and led Sevan into his living room where he pointed to a bowl of apples.
"They've been there for 2 months and they look new"- Mr G
"They're a bit wrinkly"
"Are they the apples that I bought you about 6 months ago?" - Sevan"Probably. I don't buy apples. I only keep them for decoration" - Mr G
As it turns out, they weren't the apples that Sevan bought 4 months ago unless the genetically modified bits had made them turn from red to green. Not impossible, but unlikely.

Mr G showed me those apples last week 😆 Let's check how they're keeping in a couple of months!
