After a few weeks off through injury and holidays, Kash and Sevan were back in mission mode on a sunny Sunday morning in Heston. While the 10km run to Mr A's house felt long, we were accelerated by running along the roads that were closed for the Ealing Half Marathon and probably appeared in videos taken by those who thought we were competitors!

When we arrived, Mrs A welcomed us to her home and showed us the tasks to tackle, however we soon learned that a friendly neighbour had beaten us to the fun bits the day before. We were asked to clean the dirt from the patio, weed the driveway and attempt to fix a broken fence panel. The neighbours had already filled 2 garden waste wheely bins with hedge trimmings and had made a first stab at the patio, so no hedge trimmer antics for us today 🙁

Starting with the patio, Kash literally got her feet wet using a new tool, the pressure washer. Cleaning the patio looked simple. In reality it took a full 75 minutes to make it sparkle, not helped by the split hose that kept disconnecting from the washer, spraying water everywhere, including over Kash.

While Kash, despite her wet socks, was having fun with the washer and dance music coming from a nearby garden, Sevan was doing his usual manual weeding work. He was scraping up moss and weeds from the monoblock driveway. This too sounds easy, but actually took almost the full mission time to clear the central area of the drive.

As the end of the mission approached, Sevan remembered about the broken fence panel. Some patching had already been attempted with twine and all we could do was to improve this approach. Kash had a smart idea, to tie a new piece of twine tightly nearer the break which closed the gap temporarily. Anything better was beyond our capability, so we spent time on the run back to Ealing researching nail guns for the next time.
