Monday nights used to be all about a nice little jog to a task, do some good, little jog back, then pub. However Max summed it up perfectly when he arrived and said "why do we do things like this now?".

So, this monday training session was all about running up a 500m long hill, quick tunraround then run back down again. There was supposed to be a 1min rest inbetween, but Michael and Rich are busy chaps and clearly didn't have time to waste by resting. So, 10 seconds breather then off we went again!

The first 20mins were spent running at our own pace and pushing ourselves to get as many reps in as we could in that time. Given the length of the hill, it was a top effort by all to complete at least 3 reps, especially with the added obstacle of Fergie dog, who couldn't choose who to run with

After 20mins we were actually allowed a proper rest before heading out for two more reps in mixed ability groups. Ed struggled to work out how to divide the groups and introdcued the concept of assigning everyone numbers before realisng we were all stood in ready-made groups anyway

Paul, Lucy and Micheal set off first, swfitly followed by Izzy, Amy and Rich. With Max, Nikki, Debs amd Ed giving themselves an extra few seconds rest by brining up the rear. In the end everyone (other than Michal who had to leave early) had completed at least 5 reps and had all thoroughly enjoyed themselves, even if they were too out of breath to admit it at the time
