Becs, Eimear, Ivy and I joined forces during our lunchbreaks to help set up a Gazebo for the Bethnal Green foodbank in preparation for them opening this afternoon.

The gazebo was new, there were no instructions, it was up 20 mins later #POW. We used the remaining time to help move food items around and set up the tables for registration and the food giveaway. Happy with our short and sweet effort, we went on our jolly, but jolly careful way back to the warmth of our homes.

St Matthew’s became the host of the new Bethnal Green Food Bank in January 2020, a ‘sister project’ of the Bow Food Bank located in St Mary’s, Bow Church.

"We believe abundance and not scarcity, we believe in being good stewards and sharing this abundance and we believe in Bethnal Green."

It's a great look, Becs. And what a great start to our activity with BGF. Thanks all for getting this off the ground, and for another great report Alex.
