As its the first week of the month, its food bank donation time again. They have said they expect demand to increase with the changes in universal credit coming in, so they are trying to get stocked up.
Thanks to all who donated this month, especially Jo who sent a donation via the website all the way from Liverpool, and did a celebratory run for Ben (her son) for reaching 50 deeds yesterday!
We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
