Sunday 20th January 2019
Report written by Jenni H
On Sunday morning, 4 runners went to join the Plog-olution event at Northala. The organisers often run these kind of events, with our next local one happening in March, so keep a look out!
We were given gloves, bags and pickers, given a briefing and were sent on our way!
so long, and thanks for all the trash!
Mike and Michelle joined the walking group, Jenni and Milly opting for the longer run. All getting in some exercise and doing good on a chilly morning!
Along the way we were given thumbs up from bus drivers, car drivers and a very generous passerby even gave the organisers a donation so they can keep on plogging in more places!
what a load of rubbish!
Between the whole group of volunteers, there was a huge mound of stuff at the end... But as we'd been emptying out our non-recyclables into the public bins along the way, there was a lot more rubbish collected in total. Gross!
Excellent plogging was done by all, and watch this space for future events!
