Tonight 11 goodgymers were once again joined by Tara who is on the road back from injury and could leave the bike at home!.

We congratulated Roy on his impressive parkrun PB at the weekend and all dashed off to meet councillor David to find out what he had in store for us tonight.

We spilt at around 1km and Tabatha, Sherman and Frannie cracked on with painting over graffiti at the back of Phoenix, which is the largest artists led arts organisation in SE England. Some of the graffiti 'artists' could learn a thing or two from the Phoenix guys! However, everytime we visit Phoenix to paint over graffiti there is slightly less which is a positive step.

Meanwhile, Michael led the rest of the group to the bottom of Southover Street to paint over some even more artless scribbles courtesy of ‘Cool Boy’. This idiotic little !!!* had been on a scribbling rampage all the way up Southover Street and as we painted over his desperate attempts to make his mark on our lovely city we were thanked profusely by several local residents. Katherine and Angela went off to don face masks and spray cans and paint over some really rubbish scribbling on community bins.

After painting the paint-splattered group met up on the level for a fitness session. We got into teams of 5 and spent 45 seconds doing either running with resistance bands made from old inner tubes, skipping (which most of us agreed was easier when we were 5 years old), plank or jumping over our planking team mate. We then repeated the session for 30 seconds before heading back to warm down and stretch. We are all looking forward to next week's task being in daylight - roll on the summer!

And a note from Tabitha ......here are the links for my choir (Soul of the City) concert on April 6th at St Martin's church. There are two shows, a matinee and an evening concert. It will benefit the Brighton and Hove Food Partnership which runs the Community Kitchen we are always scrubbing down :). Would be great to see some of the crew there, thanks for including the links into the run report! (You're welcome! Thanks for coming up with tonight's pun!) There's a show at 5:30pm: https://www.wegottickets.com/event/467109 And one at 8:15pm: https://www.wegottickets.com/event/467107
