Six volunteers turned out for the second gardening session at St Botolph's to continue the fine work of the first group who we glimpsed from a distance as they were heading off. Actually, five of us turned up while John stayed on for a second session, presumably to make up for the lack of gardening missions over the last few months.

We all set to work clearing ivy and bramble, gradually revealing more of the remains of the original church on the site. At the same time, we were of course looking out for attractive stones, though we weren't quite sure what one looked like! As many of us hadn't seen each other for months, there was lots to chat about, from jobs to races and injuries...and Barbara running a midnight mile dressed as Pudsey Bear!

It was great to be back volunteering in the fresh air with this lovely group of people and we look forward to returning to St Botolph's for another gardening session soon.
