Another Saturday mission to deliver some groceries to the lovely Ms J....but this time with a twist!!

I noticed a load of boxes blocking the entrance to Ms J’s place so was immediately concerned. After moving some of the boxes and shouting out to her, I was relieved to hear her voice! She heard some noise yesterday evening but was unaware that a courier had left a load of boxes outside her front door! She had not ordered anything and so was not expecting any parcels and the boxes were soaking wet because of the rain!

After taking all of her shopping out of my bag for and taking the rubbish bag out I went to look at the addressee of the parcels. They were for someone one road down with the same door number. I decided to knock on the door and a woman answered. After explaining the situation she informed me that she was trying to track down the packages and was having problems with the courier as they had stated that they had been delivered!

The mission quickly became a 2 in 1 as I showed her where the parcels had been left. We borrowed Ms J’s wheelbarrow and loaded it with as many boxes as possible. She pushed it back to hers and I carried the remaining boxes which didn’t fit in the wheelbarrow. Talk about community spirit! 👌🏽😊

Both were ever so grateful for the help. Two good deeds done with two more to go...Mr K here I come...
