Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Kash
After the morning gardening mission and budget Sainsbury's lunch, I abandoned my mission partner in tears by the canal-side. We realised our kung fu styles weren't aligned, with one using precise and deadly techniques and the other explosive and brutal methods. We decided to go our separate ways, one to the West and one to the East. I set off to Drayton Green, alone to help Mrs J with her shopping.
I arrived at the location sweaty and run-down after the uphill run to study kung fu under Grandmaster J. She asked me whether I was Michelle, but sadly I was only Kash and I had to prove myself to Grandmaster J by travelling to Lidl in Hanwell and buying her a bunch of supplies involving an Italian mint chocolate chip ice cream which was not on the list. The journey under the scorching sun was not an easy one. I tried not to show any weakness but halfway to Lidl I had to apply the SPF 30 sunscreen. Having purchased the majority of the products, I cheated my back to Grandmaster J by using a trolley rather than carrying the goods on my back. I realised that Grandmaster J set up that shopping mission not because of the goal of delivering groceries, but because of the journey that I had to go through.
While staring at Italian mint chocolate chip ice cream in Lidl I realised that my partner was right all along. While it was hard to admit, I wanted to be honest with them. I sent them a long confession and we decided to meet over a tearful coffee and then we made a pact to always garden for good and never split up again.
