Boy, it was a hot evening in Bexley last night. That's why I think running and having fun with a great group of people is just awesome. Why? Because it gets you out and smiling. And smile we did as we all run out to meet Ben from BATs at the Stables in Danson. We arrive just as Ben was pulling in, in a brand new mini bus that had just been delivered that day. I saw the faces of Bexley Goodgym light up as they thought that's going to be an easy task. 😂 Wrong, the Bus that needed a clean pulled in a few minutes later 😜😂😂😂😂😂. After a few photos taken for Ben in front of the new mini bus we grabbed our sponges and buckets and started our magic on the task. To get the bus up and ready so it can be put to use helping our local community.
Now let me tell you, washing a mini coach is a workout in it's self. We washed on, wash off, jumped to reach the places that couldn't be reached, and squatted to the ones that we could. It was also very pleasant to be getting wet in the process 😍 After 40 hard but fabulous fun minutes, we had ourselves a very clean mini coach all ready for duty. Finishing off with a little chat with the guys from BATs, a few photos taken, and it was time to head off. With our arms and legs nicely warmed up, I thought it was a great opportunity to hit the green gym on our route home. So guess what, yep, we hit the green gym for a good HIIT style workout. Well, my style HIIT workout. The task was 30 secs continues workout on each piece of machinery, only resting when we moved to the next apparatus. Sounds easy, not by the time you've reached to third machine 😜 With sweat on our brows it was time to get ourselves back to base camp Crooklog. With the sky turning black with what looked like a heavy rain fall coming , I was pleased to see the candence pick up and it wasn't long before we were chatting and saying our good byes to those who continue with their run home. Thank you Bexley Goodgymers for a fabulous evening of fun, fitness and helping out with an awesome good deed this evening. See ya next week 👊🏻😁
