This was our second visit to The Slough Refugee Centre helping to clear their back garden of moss. A few weeks ago Jen and I had made a cracking start on cutting back the shrubbery and stripping back the moss off the floor, however more helpful hands were needed so for the sake of prograss we were here to get the job done …

We walked the short distance to the task and met our task owner Keriann who was very grateful for the help.

With the additional lighting it was clear to see the frightful moss we had to endure (nah.. it was easy to scrape off to be fair.. especially with the effort Pam was putting in!)

Super Sandy was sweeping beauty with the brush… collecting all the leaves and keeping us entertained with her stories

Agnie as always cracked on with the task whilst I prepared for a song (not singing… I wouldn’t bestow that noise on anyone!)

Task complete we had enough time for the ‘song’

My finest flower

One song called Flower by Moby… when Sally goes down we squat, when Sally comes up we stand… simples

But when it lasts for over 3 mins of up..down..up..down..burning quads but it felt oh so good by the end!

We really enjoyed helping Keriann and The Slough Refugee Centre… more tasks will be booked in soon with them!

Next week we are over at Taplow helping Parvaaz with their new venue again.
