Ms S had been referred to Goodgym as she has let a lot of jobs around the house and garden build up after a period of mental ill health. She is trying to get back on top of things now, but hardly knows where to start with the garden and struggles due to arthritis. Upon arriving and an introductory chat, it turns out we had met socially several years previously before!

Being on my own and with limited time, I asked the priority. A neighbour has helped clear part of the back garden so she will be able to get a roof repair, so now her to priority was the front garden as she feels some of her neighbours are judging.

I trimmed back overgrown bushes, including those overhanging the footpath. I cut down several suckers from a neighbouring tree that had grown in the lawn and beds. I strimmed and eventually mowed the very overgrown grass. Together, we tidied everything into her bin. I hope she feels this is a starting point to be able to maintain it.
