I was hoping for a 30-minute or less run from Hyde Park to Russel Square. Of course, I didn't connect the dots: Thursday evening after work, sun being out and so on. I ended up walking the rather touristy route with sights like Piccadilly Circus and Chinatown included.

I didn't visit Ms F for a while, so we were both pleased to see each other. Ms F couldn't see me very well though with her left eye. Her eyesight improved after the surgery but not as much as she was hoping. Her eye became sensitive to light, so often she would pull out her pirate eyepatch to give it some relief. Fingers crossed the eye will improve over time!

On the positive note, when Ms F got up from the sofa to bring me a reference can of tuna, she nearly sprinted there! I said that she has definitely made a great improvement with her broken leg as the last time I had seen her, she was unsure about her steps and had to hold onto things in her house to keep the balance.

Today's shopping was a quick one as I was tasked to buy generally the bulky stuff Ms F finds difficult to carry when holding a walking stick and trying to conquer the 5 steps in her building leading to the lift. Accessibility is not the strongest side of her accommodation!

I got everything from Waitrose apart from the breaded haddock which was sold out at the time I was able to do the mission. Ms F was ok with it as she is able to carry light things like a piece of fish. I had to make a call (as the call to Ms F went to voicemail) about the 2-pint bottle of organic semi-skimmed milk that was sold out. I decided on two 1-pint bottles of organic semi-skimmed, even though they wouldn't allow me to use the voucher. Ms F likes organic products, so I made the right choice.

I finished the mission, as usual with hauling the 12 kg of water and the shopping bag up to the 5th floor.

"Kash, why don't you use the lift?" - Ms F
"Oh, you know I don't like the lift."
"But you can put the water into the lift."
"It's ok, I like the challenge."
"I like a challenge too! People like you are blessing. You keep me going!"
