It was a glorious summer evening for the latest GoodGym Bristol run, and it was great to see some regulars we hadn’t see for a while. We had a quick warm up and introduction at the Folk House and then made our way over Brandon Hill , along the harbour and then up into the glorious setting of Ashton Court.
The run was a bit longer than usual, and the hot sunny weather made it a bit tougher, but we all stuck together and made it to this week’s task.
This week’s task was to pull out Himalayan Balsam, an invasive weed that outcompetes native plants, which means less habitat for bugs and bees. We got really stuck in, clearing a really large area.
With the time up, we ran back out down the hills and back to Ashton Court. Great work everyone and it was brilliant to see some old faces as well as some new ones.
