A new task, a bumper news week, and a huge milestone- what a way to spend a Wednesday evening!

Here comes the news...

If you're up for a training run with other GoodGymers, then check out April's long run here. The plan is to meet at Putney for a 17k route to Wimbledon followed by a bite to eat. Everybody is welcome with a variety of pace groups on offer.

Fancy a different kind of race? Why not get a team together and try Take the Bridge at the end of April? The idea is that you hit a certain number of checkpoints throughout the city with your team - the prizes are pretty good too!

Hooray for Adam who hit 50 good deeds last night! That's a huge amount of gardening, sweeping, planking and even some Bulldogging! Well done 'our kid'.

Last night we had a brand new task - helping set up a drop in centre for teens. So, after a warm up and a survey on all things midland (Cadburys, Brum, Michelle and Adam!) we set off on a short run to the church. The drop in centre, which will happen weekly, will be somewhere local kids can come to find support and activities. We arrived to find Meg and Carol waiting for us with buckets of paint and brushes, and we set about sprucing the place up.

While we took advantage of Luis' long legs and head for heights and sent him up the ladder to tackle the green wall, Remy, Michelle, Sarah and Natasha showed artistic flair carefully doing the edges. Adam and Jon took on the white painting jobs, and Alex, John and Georgia painstakingly began the task of removing the many millions of staples from the old notice boards - check out the photo! Emily did a sterling job painting the bathroom area as the organisers commented that 'it was just like 60 minute makeover!'

After 45 minutes of hard work, we were treated to some delicious cake and set off back to Turnham Green for our fitness session. Unfortunately somebody (ahem) left their fitness notes back at base, so the back and core conditioning will have to wait for next week. So we moved straight onto circuits, with everybody kindly lending all their valuables to stop the stations blowing away - the true selfless pursuit of fitness! There was some confusion about which stations had to be done once or twice, and a bit of hiding behind trees to avoid certain stations, but everybody worked hard in the end. To finish off the night, we did a few plank variations - thanks Emily! - and headed back to the Town Hall for a stretch and an instructional on Morris dancing.

Net week we're off to Cultivate London, a brilliant charity that makes use of unused land in West London. Sign up here for more Wednesday night fun and fitness!

*Hat tip to Natasha for this week's pun!
