Today a group of us took time out of our Saturday afternoons to help the Foodbank clear their stock and get arranged for the christmas break.

The foodbank needed stock moving to various locations so we answered the call. there was a lot of to-me-to-you action.

  • We cleaned up with the toiletries
  • We changed the nappies location
  • We got peachy with the fruit tins
  • We tabled some issues
  • We racked, stacked and packed.

There is a space of myth and legend in the foodbank warehouse; its the toiletry section. Many fear entry for you can get lost in there. Michelle and Milly made progress in the aisles sorting our shampoo from our showergel and soap from handwash.

Props to everyone that did a morning shift and then stayed on for some more!

Why couldnt mary and joseph join in their work conference call? There was no Zoom at the inn...

What do the trumps do for Christmas? They put on a super spread...

Have a lovely Christmas and New year and if you are free this Tuesday look out for our final christmas session on Zoom.

Helping local people in crisis

We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
