Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Lucy Hill
Another Monday evening Pret pick up and drop off for the Bright Morning Star charity in Lambeth.
Unfortunately, some public transport vexations meant that Laura couldn’t make the task, so it was just Lucy & Gillian doing the deliveries.
We picked up the leftover food. Lucy filled her rucksack up, and Gillian made the most of her basket and panniers on her bike, then we stepped back out into the glorious spring sunshine to make the deliveries.
Two bikes, two routes, one drop off destination. Modesta from the charity was waiting for us at Chandler Hall, and helped us to unload the sandwiches and savouries into the fridge. We arrived and departed separately, but both enjoyed the same wonderful sun setting as we cycled back home post-mission.
Bright Morning Star Prisons and Homeless Outreach help to rebuild, support and elevate the lives of the most vulnerable people on the street and at their Walk-In Centres. They provide basic and immediate physical and emotional help to the public, and provide a free counselling service
