As the country lanes are too icy and blocked with snow we decided to walk along the disused railway track to our nearest town. I put a message on our village whatsapp group to see if anyone needed anything while we were there. We were pleased to help by collecting medication from the vets and milk and papers from the shop. The local birds were also given a treat by scattering birdseed along the track as the ground was well covered over with snow. We were pleased to see that most of it had gone by the time we walked back home
