Goodgym Barnet looked to help Long Lane Pasture nature reserve in Finchley. The weather looked awful just before the start of our group run from the Phoenix Cinema. Torrential rain hammered the streets ,it was enough to put off the most seasoned runner. But miraculously the rain abated and allowed seven GoodGym members to enjoy a fresh pleasant run through the streets of East Finchley. (well done to the Met office app for predicting the weather correctly!) We met the friends of the green space led by Donald. He had generously remembered that it was Goodgym Barnet‘s sixth birthday and had brought a cake! We then set about the task in hand which was raking the last of the cut grass ( The last straw!) and moving pond reeds. thank you again to Donald and this lovely message from HARRIET who is another organiser at Long Lane Pasture.

Paul - I've heard and seen pics from Donald about the fantastic help you and your group gave tonight in this less than ideal weather! As well as the work done, it is heartening to have a positive input from the community instead of the disheartening vandalism and antisocial behaviour that all open spaces are prey to. Thanks again.

Well done to all who braved the conditions for this group run.

give a welcome to Naomi on her first run with Barnet.

Great to see Cloud is running again爛

well done Moya for coming out with an injury!

thanks for running, being brave, and doing some good!
