Jordan we bargained fo(u)r
4 GoodGymers made their way to help the The Canal and River Trust in Birmingham.

Amy, Ben and Ryan joined me for a litter pick along our adopted stretch of the canal. We started with a bag each and rummaged in the hedges to find a few beer cans. Then we started to find the odd items - some DVDs and a book in the canal, before Amy found one of a pair of Air Jordans and a sock discarded in the water. Then we hit the party zone; a range of benches where all the drinking and eating goes on with all the discarded cans, bottles and packaging evidencing in great bulk. We had a couple of extra bags but had filled these all up at the second set. We then set off for Aston Lock to drop off the bags and passed two more sets of party benches. We really could have filled another 6 bags like the ones we were carrying. Instead we had to leave that litter for another day. So, at least we will have plenty to do the next time we have this community mission.
