Tonight's task was just myself and Hugh, hence the pun ;-) though we still got plenty done.
The task was a litter pick on our adopted part of the canal. We ran to the canal before walking along filling a good bag full of litter.
Once done we ran along to Millenium Point, passing Hugh's canal boat home on the way. We then took the tough hill back into the city centre, through Colmore Row and back to 1000 Trades. As you can see we were quite pleased with ourselves once we got back. A good litter pick and a challenging run completed :)

On a literally freezing night in Brum we had 4 hardy GoodGymers who did some good, followed by a good old old school GG Brum workout!
We set off on a litter pick around the JQ with Morwenna finding a frozen sock hence the pun!
After walking for a good while, we were all pretty cold so it was time for a run. We took a route around the JQ finishing in St Paul's Square ready for some circuit work!
This is what we did a lot of pre-pandemic so it was great to have it back! We had mountain climbers, squat jumps, tuck jumps and finished with the dreaded wall squat! Everyone worked hard, Eve and Morwenna mentioning they would no doubt feel it tomorrow and James getting warm enough to strip down to just a t-shirt!
Once done it was a nice steady jog around to 1000 Trades. Great work everyone :)

On a rather mild October night it was great to welcome Rob to GoodGym for the first time. Rob was one of the walkers, so we decided to all walk together the 1.2k to the canal to complete our litter pick.
Before we had hardly started the litter pick Eve found her green drinks bottle she'd lost when cycling along the cobbles on the canal at the weekend! As you can see she was pretty pleased to find it!
That was a great start to the task. We followed this up by clearing plenty of litter along the walls of the canal.
Once done, Rob walked back to catch his bus, whilst Eve, James and Jonny did a 4k run along the canal, through Millenium Point and up the hills back through the city centre.,

Tonight, James, Jonny and Eve headed to the canal to pick some litter.
Not long after setting off down to the canal the heavens opened to give us a bit of a soaking. After sheltering under a tree for 5 minutes or so we carried on picking the now rather soggy litter.
Once done we walked up to Aston Lock to drop the bags off before heading back to 1000 Trades to drop the litter picks off then finishing our run off by running down to New Street station.

This evening was a an evening of firsts, with our first task in Kings Norton and we also welcomed Helen to her first GoodGym task, welcome Helen!
We set off from our meeting point at Bournville Station and heading down the canal towards Kings Norton. This evening we collected 2 big bags of rubbish from around the station, to make sure its prepped for the new railway line due to open later this year (hopefully!). Following a quick diversion to the shelter of the station to hide from the rain, we finished up our litter picking, dropped the bags off and ran back towards Bournville via Cotteridge Park.
Great job everyone!

Tonight, on a somewhat nippy night, Jonny, Amy and Anna headed to the canal to do a litter pick.
We ran down to the canal, before filling one big bag full of rubbish. Anna and Jonny using the litter pickers and Amy carrying the bag.
Once done we had a quick picture, then we were all more than happy to get running, it's a great way to warm up!
We ran a slightly different way back through the city, arriving at 1000 Trades, having done a nice 3k or so :)
